Strange are the ways to get Butter. One day when Yashoda was churning, suddenly Balram and Shyam (One of the many names of Shri Krishna) reached there to make Yashoda happy. Krishna held the matted hair and started pulling it towards him and at the same time Balram held the rosary and did the same. Both of them said that they were very hungry and demanded for butter and bread. Yashoda told them to have milk and sweet, which were ready in the kitchen. Shri Krishna insisted on butter and bread because he did not like milk or sweet.
Five thousand years ago a unique, transcendental event occurred on this earth and that event was the birth of Shri Krishna in India. Kansa loved her sister Devaki very much, but during the farewell time of her marriage he listened to the 'Akashvani' (a voice of god) that Devaki's 8th son would kill him. Due to this prophecy Kansa was frightened and in an immediate reaction, he imprisoned both Devaki and the bridegroom Vasudeva. When Devaki gave the birth to a child, Kansa came and threw the newborn baby, one by one he killed all the newborns.
Gokul is a small village situated near Mathura. people of Gokul were very simple and their main profession was cattle rearing and agriculture.NandBava was their head and they follow their him as deity because he was a very loving and caring head. Vasudev, real father of Shri Krishna, and NandBava both were very close friends and relatives too. So. when Vasudeva decided to keep his son Shri Krishna with him, NandBava did not hesitate for a while. As Jasoda was to give birth to her first child, everybody at Gokul eagerly awaited this gala event.
Shri Krishna had an impressive personality and was extremely popular. Jarasangha and Kansa realized his great influence. Now they had only two ways:one, to invade Gokul and another to call Krishna at Mathura and make him wrestle against professional wrestlers and get him killed. Kansa in consultation with Jarasangha preferred the second method. a became worried when he knew that young Krishna was strong enough to kill very powerful demons.Kansa had decided to kill Krishna and he felt it would be better if Akrura went to Gokul to bring Shri Krishna.
After the coronation of Ugrasen, the scared-thread ceremony of Shri Krishna was performed and it was decided to send him to the ashram of sage Sandipani. In those days ashrams were not like today's hostels or boardings. There was a touch of divinity; besides formal education it also taught a sense of duty, co-operation and self-restraint. The life of the preceptor or the sage was a living example of selflessness to the students.

Jarasangha, father in law of Kansa, attacked Matura on seventeen different occasions and on each occasion under the leadership of Shri Krishna the people of Mathura bravely repulsed the attack. Krishna realized that the real strength of Jarasangha was his reliance on Hans and Dhimak who were on Jarasandha's side. So with a great deal of foresight, Shri Krishna cleverly got Hansa and Dhimak killed.
